Bonjour Part 2

I'm finally getting around to posting more of our British Isles trip.  I've already started to forget the names of the places we went to.  Hopefully, blogging will keep the memories alive.
I liked Scotland even more than Ireland.
Edinburgh Scotland was breathtaking.  There were so many places that made your jaw drop.

Edinburgh Castle

Edinburgh Castle

We were welcomed to Dunrobin Castle by Scottish bagpipes.  Someone pinch me!

The Dunrobin Castle had amazing grounds. Someday my hedges will look like this.

The Dunrobin Castle dates back to the 13th century.
I love this gate.

Can you see the rainbow?  How perfect!
France didn't disappoint me.  Paris was even prettier than I thought it would be.
Looking down from the Eiffel Tower

We had lunch at the Eiffel Tower.  My first taste of French cuisine in France.  I must go back!

View from the Eiffel Tower
Cupid and Psyche by Antonio Canova was one of my favorite statues.  Wow!

Venus de milo

Everyone must see the Mona Lisa in person.  We couldn't get very close to her.
Is she smiling?  Why do her eyes follow you?  Rumor has it the model was pregnant.

I didn't want to leave the Louvre!
Merci Paris!

Bonjour! Part 1

We just got back from cruising around the British Isles.  We saw so much in our 12 short days on board the Caribbean Princess.  I can't believe how lucky I am to see amazing places!

Day 1
SLEEP!!!

Day 2
St Peter Port
Nice little island owned by the Royal Family (which makes for great tax loop holes).  This island was occupied by the Germans in WW2 and boasts about the many underground tunnels they left.

Streets all decked out for the Queen's Jubilee

I loved the little sailors learning the ropes!

Day 3
Cobh, Ireland
I was so excited to visit Ireland and it didn't let me down!

Harold in front of Blarney Castle

I think I said "OHMYHECK" at this point!

Legend has it that if you kiss the Blarney stone you will be blessed with eloquent speech.  You lay on your back across those bars and kiss the stone above you.  (I PASSED!  How many people kiss that stone every day?  Can you say yuck?)

I need to remember to hide my tour sticker!

Is that the sun shining in Ireland?

It was so beautiful!

DAY 4
Dublin, Ireland

Downtown Dublin

St. Patrick's Cathedral

Love it!

Every door in the city is painted a different color.  CUTE!
Irish beer - when in Rome?

Dublin had fabulous outdoor street shopping.  These statues (guys) got a lot of attention!

Day 5
Liverpool, England
I thought this would be my least favorite port.  I was expecting Liverpool to be mostly industrial with shipyards.  We were in for a treat!  Our ship docked right next to this beautiful city!

Love the cabs and driving on the wrong side of the road!

Yes...Beatles everywhere!

John Lennon sighting

Suitcase art

China Town

Albert Dock - very cool

Stay tuned for Scotland and Paris!

Spoiled Rotten

I had a great Mother's Day weekend.  Harold and the boys spoiled me with flowers, shopping and brunch at Kenny's.  From now on Kenny is in charge of all our family gatherings!

Ed starting off the party

Kevin & Harold

Eggs benedict...oh my!  Check out the roses!

He done good!

Check out the necklace from Tiffany's!  I think I should be giving these guys presents!

Ed & Kenny

Gotta love roses and a Tiffany's bag!
Thanks for all the phone calls, texts and love this Mother's Day!  I'm truly honored to have such a wonderful family!

Hello from Bob The Builder!

My life is CRAZY this year!  The Real Estate Market Goddess has finally smiled down on us!  So far (knock on wood) we've had record sales, and we are building like crazy!  We've branched out this year.  Along with our condos and town homes, we are building several nice custom homes.  I can't wait to post pictures!
We're building our 2nd building at Jordan Ridge in Saratoga Springs.  We'll have homes for rent starting June 1st.

It's official.  Jessa and Matt are getting married 6/19/12.  I think Harold has a few more gray hairs.
Kenny was chairman of the Salt Lake County Democratic Convention.  Harold and I were delegates and saw Kenny in action!  He looks a little like Hitler in that photo...just saying.
We went to visit Jason in Minnesota.  It wasn't a coincidence that the Colorado Avalanche were in town.   Jason is with his cute friend Laura.  I've never heard a girl yell as loud as she can.
Jason and his friend Collin took a vacay to Dallas.  Jason will have 6 months sobriety on 5/11/12

Stay tuned for birthdays, vacations and much more fun!
