Bonjour! Part 1

We just got back from cruising around the British Isles.  We saw so much in our 12 short days on board the Caribbean Princess.  I can't believe how lucky I am to see amazing places!

Day 1
SLEEP!!!

Day 2
St Peter Port
Nice little island owned by the Royal Family (which makes for great tax loop holes).  This island was occupied by the Germans in WW2 and boasts about the many underground tunnels they left.

Streets all decked out for the Queen's Jubilee

I loved the little sailors learning the ropes!

Day 3
Cobh, Ireland
I was so excited to visit Ireland and it didn't let me down!

Harold in front of Blarney Castle

I think I said "OHMYHECK" at this point!

Legend has it that if you kiss the Blarney stone you will be blessed with eloquent speech.  You lay on your back across those bars and kiss the stone above you.  (I PASSED!  How many people kiss that stone every day?  Can you say yuck?)

I need to remember to hide my tour sticker!

Is that the sun shining in Ireland?

It was so beautiful!

DAY 4
Dublin, Ireland

Downtown Dublin

St. Patrick's Cathedral

Love it!

Every door in the city is painted a different color.  CUTE!
Irish beer - when in Rome?

Dublin had fabulous outdoor street shopping.  These statues (guys) got a lot of attention!

Day 5
Liverpool, England
I thought this would be my least favorite port.  I was expecting Liverpool to be mostly industrial with shipyards.  We were in for a treat!  Our ship docked right next to this beautiful city!

Love the cabs and driving on the wrong side of the road!

Yes...Beatles everywhere!

John Lennon sighting

Suitcase art

China Town

Albert Dock - very cool

Stay tuned for Scotland and Paris!
