Sharing the Season!

I love Christmas time and all the traditional songs, decorated houses, smells of baking goodies in the oven, etc. But I really got a kick out of watching Carter enjoy the Christmas season in Park City last night.
Last night, Jared and Julie invited us to go to "The Snowed Inn" in Park City. We were thrilled when Julie said Carter was coming! Carter was bundled up so much he could hardly walk. Harold got us to Park City safe and sound, even during the snow storm. We hopped on a horse drawn sleigh, cuddled under blankets and headed up the mountain. Brrrrrrrrr!

When we arrived, Cowboys greeted us with hot cider and hot chocolate! Carter ate more than his share of marshmallows. I loved the hot chocolate kisses I received from Carter all night! Carter really liked saying "cheers" with his hot cider!

The music and food was fabulous! I think Carter even got Grandpa dancing! Julie and Jared were so thoughtful to share this evening with us!

Thanks Julie & Jared!

Just A Few Thoughts

Yesterday, we went to Brady's funeral, which was one of the hardest days of my life. Through all the tears, family and friends came together to celebrate his young, sweet life.

Following are a few thoughts Harold and I had after the funeral:

Go out of you way to be nice and helpful. People aren't always as happy as they appear to be.
A lot more people love you, and are willing to help you, than you realize.
Things will be better tomorrow.
Don't make huge decisions when you're upset or with little information.
Look at the positive things. Don't be a negative person.
Happiness is a choice.
It's not always about you...you are happier when you are helping someone else.
People don't need to be your best friend to receive your encouragement.
Don't be quick to judge people. You don't know what's really going on in people's life.
Parents enjoy seeing their kids excel but also feel all the pain when they are hurt.

Love you, Brady

Brady Grote

Brady is standing in the picture

I'm heartbroken about the death of Brady Grote. Brady and Garrett are Jason's best buds and we've enjoyed having them hang out with us. Our family will cry, along with all the people who do not understand this tragedy. We will give our love and support to the family and we'll always keep Brady's memory close to our hearts.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Poulsen family.

Ohhhh The Little People!

Harold and I were supposed to go to St. George to watch football on Halloween. These little bugs made us change our mind. Just one little smile from Mason, Maddox, Elle or Carter makes our day!

Hola Cabo!

The other day Harold and I were working the model home. We were pouting because we missed our chance for r & r in Cabo this month. With all the stress in real estate we have, tossed in with a few children issues - we are so ready to take another vacation! So...Cabo here we come!

Happy 26th Birthday Kenny!

On October 19, 1982, I met my son Kenny. He was 8lbs 2oz and 21 1/2 inches long. He had beautiful dark brown hair and tons of it! He was born around 8:05 am. He came out screaming, but calmed down immediately and looked around the room. The first time I touched him, he reached his hand around my finger. At that minute, I knew I would like this new "Mother" gig. Kenny picked up the nickname "Ney" when Kevin couldn't say the name Kenny.

Kenny has always been my brave one. He learned to swim before he could walk, jumped off cliffs at Lake Powell at age 2, and high dives at the pool shortly after. This probably explains why he jumped out of a plane last year!

He wrote a letter to the White House in elementary school, to voice his opinion about Norwegian whaling. He even received a reply back from the White House. He has always been worried about the environment and very interested in politics. He kicked butt in high school debate, so don't argue with him!

Love ya, Ney!

Vegas Baby!

Happy 4th Anniversary!

The Wynn Buffet

Go 92!

Kenny is thrilled to get pic taken

What do you do when 2 hurricanes are headed to your vacation spot? Load up the truck and head to Vegas! After looking forward to Cabo San Lucas for months, hurricanes Norbert and Odile decided to rain on our parade. The resorts were still there, but the furniture, art, glassware, dishes, etc were not. Good luck trying to find a margarita in those conditions!
So Harold, Kenny, Jason and I are off to St. George to watch Kev's Homecoming game today. After they WIN, we will head down to "Sin City" to celebrate our 4th Anniversary!

Mid Valley Moose? What A Name!

Mid Valley Independent Moose didn't have their game last night. Brighton won 9-0! It was the first time I have seen a team fight, on this level, resulting in an ejection and 6 players in the penalty box. It was awesome! Thank goodness Jason wasn't on the ice at that time!

Go Brighton!

A Good Sunday!

***Brighton Hockey won Nebo 9-0 on Thursday night. Jason had 1 goal and 1 assist!

I love it when the kids drop in on Sundays! Thanks, Julie and Jared for letting us play with your little angels!
