Jason finished up summer league with Brighton Hockey. Brighton High kicks off their fall league on Saturday with a car wash/BBQ. Brighton was the state champions last year, so we are excited he's playing on that team. Go Jasonson!!
Jessa started school last week. She has a bunch of easy classes like Honor's English, AP History, Chemistry and German 3...must I say more? Jessa rocks!

Summer of Love
I have one issue to bring up that really bothered me this summer... John Edwards, the pretty boy, who lied to our face, cheated on his dying wife and still had the nerve to run for President of the United States. John Edwards, the politician who I really thought was a man of integrity. I believed in his cause so much, I would have posted an "Edwards for President" sign on my lawn!
Elizabeth Edwards for President!
Elizabeth had survived losing a child, and now is terminally stricken with cancer. She has stood by his side defending that jerk time after time. It will be a long time before I trust another politician. I predict John McCain's little affair will be the next out on the table.

The Cobalt 242 -For Display Only!
For those of you who don't know me well, I pretty much grew up on a boat. I learned to ski when I was 8, slalom ski at 13. We went to Lake Powell twice a year, Echo and Willard on weekends. My sisters and I were raised on a houseboat during the summer. My kids are fish.
I know how much fun, and how much work they are, but when I think of all our kids and how much fun it would be to spend time with them all at the Lake...I start COVETING other people's boats! If a boat is stranded on the side of the road, my evil side wants to back up, hitch the boat and hit the lake! Even boats for sale, locked behind gates, call my evil side!
Then it happened, Cami and Jay got a freakin' boat! OHMYHELL! Michelle and Todd got a houseboat! OHMYGOSH (that was for you Chelle)
So I started the pouting, which turned into whining. When my poor husband had finally had enough, he took me to Taylor's Boats. That is the place where I fell in love with the Cobalt 242! Harold was smiling! I was about to pass out from the lovely Cobalt fiberglass smell (It's better than a new car). Then all my dreams were crushed when we saw the $100,000+ price tag!
I know we could finance it and pay a small amount each month, we could buy a used boat, we could rent a boat OR we can sleep with the brochure under my pillow and rest easy at night knowing we are a builder who is still in business during this lovely housing crisis!
Here is a picture of my lovely Cobalt 242. I guess I'll just stick with Royal Caribbean for my boating. I wanted a different color anyway!
